Social Distancing in the Sun

As the weather warms up, Joseph Zarconi, M.D. (‘81), who has added the role of COVID-19 response medical director to his responsibilities at Northeast Ohio Medical University, is encouraging folks to get outside and exercise — six feet apart.

He tells the Record-Courier, “It’s absolutely a good thing to do, and in fact, is recommended. I think it’s most helpful if you can get outside with others, while maintaining the 6 feet of physical distance. That way you can maintain social connectedness while maintaining physical isolation.”

Dr. Zarconi recommends walking at a distance and cautions that when using outdoor equipment, remember to disinfect before and after using.
