NEOMED’s leadership team is dedicated to fulfilling the university’s mission, vision and values and advancing the University’s future. The president, along with NEOMED’s Board of Trustees, oversee the functions of the leadership team who manage the University’s divisions, programs and services.

Trustees are responsible for making the interests of the University their overriding priority and to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities as NEOMED trustees.
Office of the President
John Langell, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., is the seventh and current president of NEOMED.
Dr. Langell has more than 25 years of experience in higher education, and has served in senior leadership positions in academic health care, industry and nonprofit organizations, and the federal government — as a commander in the U.S. Air Force.
