Fall 2020 Ignite Magazine Available Online

Two topics – the COVID-19 pandemic and the role of structural racism in health care – provided themes for the Fall 2020 issue of Ignite, NEOMED’s award-winning human-interest magazine.

A center-spread feature tells the uplifting story of the many dedicated students who have been involved in the grassroots student-activated COVID-19 Relief Initiative. You’ll also find commentary in “COVID-19 and Race” by Joseph Zarconi, M.D. (’81), the University’s medical director in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Andre Burton, J.D., vice president for human resources and diversity. And throughout this issue, there’s news of how alumni have fought against the pandemic by treating patients and working in various innovative ways to provide and improve health care.

Current and previous issues of Ignite may be viewed for free on issuu. (If you missed the Spring 2020 issue, published just as the pandemic closed campus, you can find it here, too.)
