Crain’s Notes Intellectual Disability Research Funding to NEOMED’s Safadi
Fayez Safadi, Ph.D., the director of the Musculoskeletal Research Group at NEOMED and a senior scientist at Akron Children’s Hospital, has been awarded $365,035 per year for five years from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) for research on a genetic mutation related to intellectual disability, reports Crain’s Cleveland Business.
The NIAMS is one of the National Institutes of Health, a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Safadi is a professor of anatomy and neurobiology at NEOMED.
