“100+Latinos Cleveland Must Know” List Names NEOMED’s Torres and Mirelez

Who are top Latino professionals in Greater Cleveland? 

You can count Northeast Ohio Medical University’s Iris Mirelez, M.Ed., assistant director of Student Diversity, College of Medicine, and Victor Torres, M.A., director of Global Engagement, among them. 

Mirelez and Torres have been named to the 100+ Latinos Cleveland Must Know List compiled by AmMore Consulting and The Hispanic Star, a nonprofit that was established – according to the website hispanicstar.org – “to elevate Hispanic collaboration, perception and representation; celebrate and recognize Hispanic contributions; and mobilize corporate America to leverage the huge Hispanic opportunity.”

The list contains business professionals at large and small corporations, nonprofits, government offices and – in the case of Mirelez and Torres — higher education. All of those on the list identify as Hispanic, Latino/a or Latinx. Of them, 95% hold an undergraduate degree, while 61% have earned graduate degrees. 

The list is hosted on AmMore’s website so that it can be used by organizations looking for Latino professionals.
