How Does the Global Friendship Initiative Work?
Throughout the academic year, NEOMED faculty, staff and students, and international visitors arrange to spend time together as often as mutually desired (both on and off-campus). Ideally, they should arrange to meet at least once a month.
Faculty, staff and students may invite their international visitor to family events, informal meals, regional outings, holiday celebrations, athletic events, or anything that would enhance the visitor’s experience in the U.S.
International visitors may invite their NEOMED community partner and their families to attend on-campus events or meetings that are open to the public.
Initially, the commitment to be in the Global Friendship Initiative would be for a full academic year, depending on the length of the international visitor’s program.
