Area of Expertise/Research Interests
At NEOMED my interests include pharmacy practice management, health care delivery, and history of pharmacy. My early research focused primarily in the area of experiential education and preceptor development. Over the last few years my research focus as moved to exploring the use and abuse of opiate drugs during the 19th century following the U.S. Civil War. In this area I am currently concentrating on factors related to rise of opiate use during that time and parallels to today’s crisis.
