President of the American Pediatric Surgery Association to Speak Dec. 2

Edward M. Barksdale Jr., M.D., the president of the American Pediatric Surgery Association, will be the guest speaker at the next VITALS, NEOMED’s thought-leader speaker series.

Dr. Barksdale will speak at noon Thursday, Dec. 2, via Zoom. The talk is free and open to the public.

Now in its second year, NEOMED’s VITALS (Visionary Health Leadership in Action), continues to inspire current and future health care leaders to meet the trajectory of change that’s occurring in health care with the innovative approaches of national thought leaders such as Dr. Barksdale, who is the surgeon-in-chief at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.

Over 17 minutes, Dr. Barksdale will have the opportunity to speak on any of the VITALS topics: value-based, innovation, technology, advocacy, leadership, service. Participants on the online event will then have the opportunity to ask questions for the remainder of the hour.
