Biography
Yoleetah Ilodi, M.D., FACP, is an associate professor of internal medicine in the NEOMED College of Medicine.
Dr. Ilodi was named the first assistant dean of diversity in the College of Medicine in January 2021. In that role she has provided leadership, oversight and strategic vision for policies and initiatives to promote inclusive and equitable learning and working environment for students, faculty and staff in the College. She is a graduate of the Fellowship in Academic Medicine and serves on the College’s admissions committee.
She also practices internal medicine and geriatrics for Summa Health, where she is the lead physician for diversity, inclusion and recruitment for medical education.
Dr. Ilodi has held many clinical and açaí titles, including:
- geriatric clerkship director for medical students and residents,
- director of the High Intensity Clinic and
- medical director of long term and transitional care facilities.
Prior to coming to NEOMED, Dr. Ilodi worked as a diversity health consultant locally and regionally.
As a clinician, she is a multi-award-winning teacher and respected by both students, staff and administrators for her advocacy for equity and justice.
Dr. Ilodi earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine training at Summa Health, where she also completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine.
