Board of Trustees Member Darrell McNair Honored by The Black Professional Magazine
The Black Professional magazine has named Northeast Ohio Medical University Board of Trustees member Darrell McNair as its 2021 Black Professional of the Year. McNair is featured on the cover of the Spring 2021 edition of the magazine.
Nominated by his peers, McNair was selected for the honor based on his professional accomplishments, civic engagement, personal standards and community visibility. He is president and CEO of MVP Plastics, located in Middlefield, Ohio.
“He always encourages an entrepreneurial spirit in young people, especially people of color. He will go out of his way to make sure you’re comfortable and he meets you where you are. I could not ask for more,” said Samuel Sanya, a project engineer at MVP Plastics who met McNair as a sophomore engineering student at Cleveland State.
