Taking Precautions When Dining Out

A recent publication by Yahoo! News showcased a video, shot in Japan by the public broadcasting organization NHK, which displays a simulation of how fast a virus can spread in a restaurant setting.

Richard Watkins, M.D., an infectious disease physician and associate professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University, notes, “COVID-19 is most contagious when it is in the air from an infected person coughing or speaking.”

He also suggests that for now, “Ordering carryout and staying home is best.”
