President Langell Discusses Flattening the Curve
Flattening the curve, hand hygiene and social distancing are becoming more and more important as COVID-19 continues to develop throughout the United States.
Northeast Ohio Medical University President John T. Langell, M.D., Ph.D., explained to the Akron Beacon Journal how flattening the curve by social distancing can mean life or death for some.
“Without flattening the curve, Ohio could face what’s happened in Italy, where doctors have been forced to decide who lives or dies,” says Dr. Langell. “We don’t want to be in that situation, to be making those types of decisions.”
