President Langell Looks to NEOMED’s Future
In John Langell’s first 20 days as the seventh president of Northeast Ohio Medical University, he traveled nearly 3,000 miles on a listening tour to talk with stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, alumni and more.
Many media outlets have sought out Dr. Langell to hear his thoughts as well .
Lydia Coutré of Crain’s Cleveland Business recently spoke with John Langell, M.D., Ph.D., about his goals for the University and how his first couple of months in office have gone.
President Langell explained how he hopes to empower students during his time at NEOMED.
“And I think that’s our role as educators: not just to share the knowledge but to teach them how to build upon our knowledge and how to take it and apply it where they can really have impact. And in health care, I can’t think of a better mission for them to come out and do that work.”
