If you are experiencing an emotional or psychiatric crisis and are unable to reach a NEOMED counselor, please contact the Community Crisis Resources.

SELF-HELP TOOLKIT

The self-help toolkit provides a variety of support resources and screenings for mental and emotional well-being. Whether one chooses to work individually on their problems or may be waiting for a new counseling appointment or in between counseling sessions, students can access these resources on their own time. All resources provided to students are confidential, anonymous, and free of charge.

TAO Connect

TAO Connect(Therapy Assist Online) is a self-help resource for managing problems such as worry, test anxiety, depressed mood, interpersonal problems, pain management, recovery skills, evaluation of alcohol or substance use or other areas of mental and emotional well-being. It contains mental health screenings and self-help video modules and educational materials utilizing evidence based therapeutic practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to assist in learning to change unhealthy thought patterns/behaviors. TAO is also used for teletherapy sessions. Simply register on TAO Connect using your NEOMED student email address to create an account and log-in.

Centre for Clinical Interventions

Centre for Clinical Interventions is an online resource that provides interventions for mental health problems such as depression, bipolar disorder, social anxiety, panic, self-esteem, procrastination, perfectionism, and eating disorders. A variety of self-help worksheets and modules targeted for specific problem areas are provided and available in PDF format that utilizes evidence based therapeutic practices to help address unhealthy thought patterns/behaviors.

Ulifeline

Ulifeline is an online resource center, where students have comfort and privacy when searching for the information they may need regarding emotional health. It contains a well-being screening called a “Self-Evaluator”, and it has information and weblinks related to mental and emotional health and well-being. It even provides local referrals for counseling and mental health support.
