Pharmacy student appointed to national advisory group
Miranda Galleher, a fourth-year student in the College of Pharmacy, was recently appointed to the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Pharmacy Student Forum as a member of the Residency Preparation Advisory Group.
Galleher, who served as president of the NEOMED chapter of the ASHP-affiliated Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists during her third year, will help the ASHP group develop and promote valuable resources for pharmacy students interested in residency.
“Applying to residency involves a lot of preparation and I hope that we can make the process as smooth as possible for students through the resources we create,” she said. “I am also excited to develop my personal leadership skills and network with the other students I will be working with!”
Galleher plans to pursue a pharmacy residency in Northeast Ohio. She also intends to earn a teaching certificate to have a role in academia.
