Over $10,000 Raised for Student Scholarships in the College of Pharmacy

Giving Tuesday was a successful day in the College of Pharmacy! On Tuesday, December 1, the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Pharmacy invited alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the College to donate to the Future Pharmacist Fund. The generosity of many helped raise $10,640 for the Future Pharmacist Fund!
The NEOMED College of Pharmacy may be a young program, but thanks to our excellent students, it is a highly rated one. Over the past 10 years, our graduates have consistently performed extremely well on the NAPLEX and MPJE and we are ranked 1st in Ohio and in the Top 10% in the nation. We are pleased and proud of this high level of success, how it has prepared our students to progress into the workforce and shape the future of the pharmacy profession.
With an eye to the future though, the College of Pharmacy has partnered with the NEOMED Foundation to establish the Future Pharmacist Fund. This new giving option is dedicated to establishing several annual scholarships that will assist in offsetting tuition for third-year and fourth-year pharmacy students that meet selected criteria. This will be the first scholarship fund that is dedicated solely for the benefit of NEOMED pharmacy students.
The Kasmer family has committed to match donations that are received between December 1-31, 2020 up to a maximum amount of $25,000. We believe that together we can make a NEOMED College of Pharmacy education affordable for those who seek it and ensure the sustainability of our profession.
