Awards are presented each year to alumni, faculty, staff, preceptors, and students who have shown a strong commitment to community service, leadership, and overall involvement in both the NEOMED and Northeast Ohio Communities.

- Excellence in Scholarship Award: This award is given to a faculty member who has made substantial scholarly contributions to his or her field in the past year. The nature of the research may be basic, translational, clinical, or in the realm of teaching and learning.
- Faculty Excellence Award: A faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service, and who exemplifies the core values of NEOMED including Leadership, Excellence, Advocacy, Diversity, Equity, and Respect.
