Welcome
Thank you for visiting the LCME Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement Website
As the official accrediting body for medical education programs in the U.S. and Canada leading to the M.D. degree, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) evaluates medical schools about every eight years. The LCME accreditation process provides a valuable opportunity for quality assurance and improvement of our college and our curriculum.

Dear NEOMED Community,
I am happy to report that following the LCME Committee’s June 2021 meeting, the LCME voted to grant the College the status of full accreditation of the medical education program of the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Medicine. Our next LCME full accreditation survey will be in the 2026-2027 academic year.
After the long years of hard work by so many, this is certainly outstanding news! My sincere thanks to everyone for your involvement and support throughout this process.
With sincere gratitude and appreciation,
Eugene Mowad, M.D. Interim Dean, College of Medicine
